"Special School Assembly on Lunar Eclipse & World Ozone Day”
Today, our school conducted a special assembly focusing on two important themes – the Lunar Eclipse and World Ozone Day. The program aimed to blend science and environmental awareness, encouraging students to think critically and act with responsibility.
The session began with a presentation on the Lunar Eclipse, where the teacher explained how the Earth, Sun, and Moon align during the event. A live demonstration model was shown, and interesting facts about eclipses were shared through speeches which also informed about the Total lunar eclipse that will occur on 7th September 2025.
This was followed by the World Ozone Day awareness program. Teacher delivered speeches on the role of the ozone layer as Earth’s protective shield, presented posters and explained how human actions affect the environment. Principal concluded the assembly to adopt eco-friendly practices and spread awareness about ozone protection and encourage the students to see the lunar eclipse from their houses, with naked eyes.
The combined activity enhanced the students’ scientific knowledge and also reminded everyone of their responsibility to protect our planet earth.
