“THIS LAND, THIS SKY, THIS FREEDOM --- IT’S ALL WORTH PROTECTING”
The 79th Independence Day was observed with lots of pride in heart and an enthusiastic spirit at our school campus. The day started with Prayer Song and Tamizh Thaaivaazhthu. The Tricolour National flag was unfurled by Our Secretary Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain, followed by singing of the Flag song. Our Principal welcomed the gathering the students and parents. Our Secretary Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain felicitated all with an inspiring speech about giving respect to our Motherland by recalling the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. He also advised our students to be responsible citizens and to work hard towards India’s greatness.
The culturals began with a vibrant English speech by R.Sharan of class IX – B. The Celebration took momentum with the enactment of a skit on Freedom Movement. Students of classes VIII – XI performed the Freedom Movement in Tamil Nadu giving glimpses of Velunaachiyaar, Veerapandiya Kattabomman, V.O. Chidambaram Pillai, Thiruppur Kumaran and others. An energetic Hindi speech was delivered by A. Rakshita and I.Irfana of class IX – A. Our boys of classes VI – IX rocked the stage with a dance on the musical notes of Patriotism. S. Darshitha of X – B honoured our Motherland in her enthusiastic Tamil speech. Our Academic Advisor extended her beautiful Independence Day wishes to all gathered.
Our High school Vice Principal Mrs.S.Malathi inspired the audience with a short glimpses of Major Dhyan Chand, ‘The Hockey Wizard’ of India and also the Father of Sports in India. The winners of CISCE Archery, Kho –Kho, Athletics, Volley Ball and Table Tennis were appreciated and motivated by Our Secretary The event came to an end with Vote of Thanks delivered by our Academic Co-ordinator Mrs.M.Usharani, singing of the National Anthem finally brought the Red Letter Day celebration to a close.
